Honest, human conversations around death, dying, and grief
Who We Are
Deaducation Academy is a human-centered educational platform co-created by end-of-life doula Britna Savarese and bodyworker, educator, and performer Stephanie Bell.
Together, we bring a unique, interdisciplinary approach to death education—bridging clinical knowledge, lived experience, and embodied practice. Our work is rooted in the belief that conversations around death, grief, and care should not feel distant, sterile, or inaccessible. They should feel human.
Britna’s work as a death doula centers on guiding individuals and families through the emotional, logistical, and spiritual aspects of end-of-life care. She offers grounded, compassionate support during some of life’s most vulnerable moments, helping people feel more prepared, informed, and less alone.
Stephanie brings over a decade of experience as a licensed massage therapist and educator, with a focus on trauma-informed care, nervous system awareness, and embodied healing practices. As “Clown Mother of DFW” and creator of Tepani’s Heartwork Methodology, she integrates play, presence, and emotional expression into spaces that are often held too tightly by formality or fear.
Together, we create spaces where education meets embodiment—where practical tools and honest conversation exist alongside emotional expression, curiosity, and even humor.
Deaducation Academy exists to:
make end-of-life education more accessible and less intimidating
support caregivers, professionals, and communities in navigating grief and care
create space for honest, nuanced conversations about death and dying
reintroduce humanity into systems that often feel clinical or disconnected
Our workshops are designed to meet people where they are, whether they are professionals in healthcare and death care, caregivers, or individuals simply seeking a deeper understanding of grief, planning, and presence.
Why We’re Different
Human First, Not Clinical
We center real human experience over sterile language, creating space for honesty, emotion, and nuance in conversations that are often overly medicalized.
Embodied, Not Just Educational
Our workshops go beyond information. Participants engage through reflection, sensation, and interaction so the learning is felt, not just understood.
Bridging Worlds That Don’t Usually Meet
We integrate end-of-life care, body-based practices, and creative expression—offering a multidimensional approach that speaks to both professionals and everyday humans.
Connection Over Performance
This is not about saying the “right” thing. We focus on presence, listening, and relational skills that allow people to show up authentically in difficult moments.
This work is for you if you:
