FLOP School of Clown
FLOP is a Dallas–Fort Worth–based school of clown dedicated to playful exploration, honest performance, and the art of failure. Founded by Ely Sellers, FLOP was created as an accessible, community-driven space where artists of all backgrounds can step into curiosity, risk, and authentic expression.
At FLOP, clown is not about tricks or perfection, it’s about presence. Through guided exercises, ensemble work, and precise feedback, students are invited to follow impulse, embrace the unknown, and discover what makes them uniquely funny, human, and compelling on stage.
FLOP prioritizes a supportive environment where failure is not only welcomed but necessary. In this space, mistakes become material, vulnerability becomes strength, and connection with the audience is the ultimate goal.
Whether you are a seasoned performer or stepping into clown for the first time, FLOP offers a place to explore your voice, build confidence, and engage deeply with the craft of clowning alongside a growing DFW community.
